Welcome to the CCR Microscopy Facility Resource Page. The Facility is only accessible for the time being to students, faculty and staff of the CCR or associated collaborators. If you would like to have access to the facility please contact Joan Avery first. One is not allowed into the microscope room unless you are trained or have been given permission by Joan.
CCR Microscopy microscopes include:
Zeiss Confocal LSM 700 and 900: Generate high-resolution images of material stained with fluorescent probes.
Zeiss Axioskop: used for brightfield imaging.
Olympus inverted scope: Used for fluorescent imaging for tissue culture plates, dishes, flasks.
Zeiss Axio Imager.D2: Used for brightfield and fluorescent imaging for slides.
Many thanks to Dr. Jeanne Nerbonne, as Director of the CCR, was pivotal in not only getting a much larger space renovated for the CCR microscopy facility, but also the driving force for acquiring new microscopes.
