Research interests

Understanding the immunological mechanisms that govern cardiac recovery and the pathogenesis of heart failure, with a focus on:

  • Mechanisms that distinguish pediatric from adult cardiomyopathy
  • Pathogenesis and resolution of primary graft dysfunction in cardiac transplantation
  • Understanding the role of macrophage diversity in heart failure pathogenesis, tissue repair/regeneration, and coronary growth
